Mister Laurence periodically hosts a children's radio show (undercover) on WCBN 88.3 F

M called KIDS ON STRIKE! This show broadcasts from 9:00 am to 10:00am, every Saturday morning.  There are several deejays who trade off airing this program, and Mister Laurence is one of them!  When Mister Laurence deejays, he focuses on vintage 78 rpm kiddie records, picture discs, cardboard cut-outs, multi-colored vinyl and more! Yes, Mister Laurence will take you down memory lane with records dating as far back as the 1940s!

In addition to vintage vinyl, he also showcases wild modern kiddie performers, as well. Great fun! He even plays Mister Laurence, but he's not supposed to know that...

And, there's nothing more entertaining than to hear Mister Laurence try to form rational sentences that early in the morning (invariably spouting off in pure Gibberish), as he tries to explain the meaning behind each and every record played, ceing up the tracks like a pro, skimming through the rough pitted popcorn terrain of ancient colored vinyl. Sometimes he may even broadcast two recorded versions of the same song at once! Madness!

An example play list of tunes he's sported on the show: Said the Harpsichord to the Piano, The Tune That Ran Away, Bozo Under the Sea, Peter and the Wolf, Woodie Wood Pecker and His Talent Show, Carbon the Copy Cat, Alice in Wonderland's Mad Tea Party, Nellie the Elephant, A Child's Introduction to Jazz, The Milk's Journey, Paper Family, and The Lonesome House — to name but a few!

Here we see Mister Laurence broadcasting on his old children's radio show, KIDDIE ROCK RADIO!  This was
hosted
by his friend Sean Westergaard, also on
WCBN FM 88.3 and was aired the last Friday each month.

KIDDIE ROCK RADIO ran from 2000 - 2007. Recordings
from
those over-the-air "live" performances are still available thru his record label, by contacting
